On Thursday 10th October, the Margaret River Trees Fundraiser brought together supporters of Australia’s iconic trees; for an evening focused on raising awareness of environmental preservation.
This fundraiser was part of The Tree SAINTs' remarkable adventure; a 5,000 km Penny-farthing ride from Margaret River to the Gold Coast, aimed at raising awareness of the impact land clearings have on Australia’s native trees. This journey, while towing a 300-year-old Grass Tree, is proof of their dedication to saving these spectacular trees.
As guests arrived, they were greeted by the smooth sounds of our Jazz Duo, cozy fire pits, the aroma of wood-fired pizzas and complementary drinks supplied by Old Bridge Cellars.
Our saxophone and piano duo, Lachlan and Jackson, had a brilliant time playing classic jazz tunes, and were lucky enough to meet special guests AFL legend David Mundy and Harries from Bondi Rescue!
The Founder of Margaret River Trees Mike Johnson a moment to share his mission, passionately describing how The Tree SAINTs are working to protect and relocate Australia’s ancient trees. With every day Mike and his team save Boabs, Gross Trees and Queensland Bottle Treesfrom extinction.
We extend a big thank you to Mike and his team for including us in such a special fundraiser.
This event was proudly hosted by Saving Australia’s Iconic Native Trees Inc. (The Tree SAINTs), at the company's North Fremantle centre. Please check out their websites below!
